酒店行业是现代社会中发展最为迅速的行业之一，并且酒店业已经实现了全球化和品牌化。今天许多著名的酒店集团已遍布世界各地，提供了大量的就业机会和良好的工作环境。但是酒店业的竞争也非常激烈，对于高素质的员工供不应求。

随着近期国内旅游需求的不断增长，中国被世界旅游组织评为世界十大国际境外旅游消费国。根据世界旅游协会统计，2004年中国旅游从业者达到5410万人，占到中国就业总数的7.4%。预计到2013年将增至6580万人。根据中国国家旅游局统计，在今后十年中中国的旅游业从业人员需求量预计将以10.4%的年均增长。毫无疑问，中国酒店服务业将在2008年北京奥运会和2010年上海世博会的促进下不断的增长并将在世界舞台上扮演主角。

项目学制：

2+1+1，学制三年（加一年可获学士学位）。前两年在学院学习（第一年上半学期，以英语强化课程为主），以外方教师教学为主体，中、外教师共同执教。第三年赴爱尔兰高威－Mayo理工学院学习。并将在欧洲大型高级酒店进行30周带薪实习。三年课程完成后，学生可在爱尔兰继续攻读一年获学士学位。

学院简介

◆酒店管理专业介绍

一、培养目标：　

培养具有国际化视野，具有一定的学术水平，能熟练运用中英双语，有跨国文化背景，具有高度的团队合作精神，能在全球化的酒店从事管理工作的高素质管理人才。

二、专业规格：

本专业须掌握必要的会计、经济学、商务信息技术等方面的基础理论，还须具备扎实和较全面的旅游管理、酒店管理及餐饮管理等方面理论基础和管理技能。主要专业课程全部由外籍专家教授。本专业要求毕业生的英语水平达到雅思6.0以上,英语听、说、读、写流利顺畅。

三、就业方向：

学生毕业后，爱尔兰方面将推荐工作，主要面向全球连锁的酒店集团、国内外涉外大型酒店的中高级管理人员。学生在欧洲大型酒店的实习经验将极大地增加学生的就业竞争力。

四、文凭：

三年大专课程完成后，毕业颁发中（计划内）、爱双方文凭（爱尔兰方文凭获得中国政府承认）。第四年可以在爱尔兰继续学习一年，毕业后获爱尔兰学士学位。

五、认可度：

毕业生将自动成为爱尔兰酒店与餐饮协会会员，并且获得英国酒店、餐饮与机构管理协会认证考试部分课程免试待遇

The Galway – Mayo Institute of Technology is based at five locations in the west of Ireland. At the largest campus situated in Galway, we look out on the Atlantic Ocean and are reminded of Francis Bacon’s observation: “They are ill discoverers that think there is no land when they can see nothing but sea.” As a centre of higher education, we are engaged, above all else in discovery.
